Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you publish, store or show through HivePost, including link-in-bio pages, and to programs and AI apps that use the API.
1. Don't use HivePost to
- send spam, run fake or automated accounts, or buy or sell likes, follows or comments;
- post anything illegal, including content that sexually exploits children, terrorist content, illegal hate speech, threats, or the sale of illegal goods;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or someone's privacy, for example by posting other people's photos or personal data without a right to;
- mislead people: scams, phishing, fake giveaways, impersonating a person or a brand;
- publish ads or sponsored posts without the disclosure the law or the network requires;
- break a social network's rules or get around its limits;
- collect personal data through link-in-bio forms without telling people why, or use it for something else;
- get around HivePost's plan limits, rate limits or security, or test our security without written permission (write to support@hivepost.app first);
- copy, resell or scrape HivePost, except through the API as the Terms allow.
2. What we do when something breaks these rules
We may remove or disable content, limit a link-in-bio page, pause publishing, or suspend or close an account. We act in proportion to the problem and with regard to everyone's rights, including freedom of expression. When we act, we tell the account owner what we did, how long it lasts, the facts and the rule it is based on, whether it came from a report or our own checks, whether automated means were used, and how to challenge it (statement of reasons). We use automated signals (such as rate limits and spam patterns) to find possible abuse; a person decides on removals and suspensions.
If we learn of something that suggests a crime threatening someone's life or safety, we tell the police or the prosecutor's office.
3. Report content
Use the report form. It asks for:
- the exact address (URL) of the content;
- why you believe it is illegal or breaks this policy;
- your name and email (you may stay anonymous for reports about child sexual abuse material);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the report is accurate and complete.
We confirm receipt by email, review the report carefully and objectively, and tell you what we decided and how to challenge it. If you can't use the form, write to support@hivepost.app with the same details.
Copyright. Use the same form or write to support@hivepost.app. For notices under the US DMCA, include your signature, the work, the infringing material and its URL, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the owner or may act for them. Our designated agent: [DMCA agent: name, address and email as registered with the US Copyright Office]. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
4. Challenge a decision
Reply to the message we sent you, or write to support@hivepost.app within six months. A person reviews your challenge and answers. You can also go to court or, as a consumer in Romania, use ANPC's alternative dispute resolution at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
