Quick start

Schedule your first post in test mode. Test mode runs every check a live key runs and never publishes.

1. Make a test key

In HivePost, open Developers → API keys and create a Test key. Keep it in an environment variable: export HIVEPOST_API_KEY=hp_test_…

2. Find your account id

List your connected accounts and copy the id of one with "api": "available" (Bluesky today).

3. Schedule a post

Put the id in accounts and send the request. You get 201 with the post, "status": "scheduled" and "mode": "test". The Idempotency-Key makes a retry safe.
